The B-17 Flying Fortress Sally B is the official flagship of the American Air Museum in Britain and is permanently based at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

Sally B is now the only airworthy Flying Fortress in the UK, where she flies as a memorial to the 79,000 Allied Airmen who lost their lives in Europe during the Second World War.

Sally B has been active on the UK and European air show circuit for over 30 years, with the backing of one of the largest supporters clubs of its kind in the world. The aircraft is maintained and flown by a team of dedicated professional volunteers, led by Elly Sallingboe of B-17 Preservation Ltd.

To preserve the aircraft and ensure its future for the enjoyment and education of future generations, the B-17 Charitable Trust (Registered Charity No. 1079007) was established. However, a vast sum of money must be raised every year to avoid the prospect of Sally B being permanently grounded - an unthinkable loss to the world of historic aviation.

Sally B needs your help and generosity to keep her in the air where she belongs.
