Special Thanks to Georgia Frontiere

The Board of Trustees of The American Air Museum in Britain has recently awarded the honour of Emeritus status to US Co-Chairman and Chair of the Rededication Committee, Georgia Frontiere, in recognition of her significant and continued support of the Museum from its earliest days.

Georgia Frontiere

The Georgia Frontiere Gallery in The American Air Museum is named in acknowledgement of Georgia's special endeavours and generosity.  Georgia has significantly supported many of the Museum's fundraising events held in the States, including events in California and the Gala Dinner in Washington, DC in 2005.

Georgia recently hosted a dinner for The American Air Museum in St Louis, Missouri, which was attended by over 90 special guests.  During the dinner guests were shown a specially prepared video about the Museum and Georgia's role as US Co-Chairman.  Sir Peter Squire, President of the AAM, then honoured Georgia with Emeritus status and presented her with a plaque.  In her response Georgia reminded guests of what had motivated her to become involved in the campaign to build The American Air Museum and why her commitment to remembering and honouring US Service men and women of the past and present continues today.

Georgia, Chairman and Owner of the St Louis Rams, graciously invited Trustees and their guests to her Owner's Box at the Rams stadium, The Edward Jones Dome, the following day when the Rams played the Arizona Cardinals in their return game.  An article about the Museum and Georgia's work was printed in the Rams Insider magazine for the game and the President and Trustees were introduced to the crowd between the third and fourth quarter.

It is important that the Museum continues to reach out to potential supporters in America and to share our vision and mission.  The St Louis weekend provided us with an opportunity to meet old friends of the Museum and to welcome new ones.

The Trustees thank Georgia Frontiere for her compassion, commitment and support of The American Air Museum in Britain.
